Copper Antimicrobial Compression Gloves

If you suffer from cold hands, or are worried about picking up bacteria while out and about, the heat-retaining and antimicrobial properties of copper fabrics may be your ideal solution. The Copper Antimicrobial Compression Gloves are designed to make the most of these properties as they keep hands warm while killing all sorts of bacteria to keep your hands both comfortable and safe.

What Are the Benefits of Copper Gloves?

The scientific community is constantly learning about the remarkable health benefits of copper, many of which have been common knowledge for years. Copper fabrics are proven to be:

  • Heat-Retaining: Copper fabric is highly efficient at trapping heat, making these gloves ideal for cold hands and Raynaud's disease sufferers
  • Antimicrobial: Fabric infused with copper ions has been proven in medical journals to kill 99.9% of many types of bacteria (more on this below)
  • Anti-Ageing: A common ingredient in anti-ageing beauty products, copper has been shown to promote production of collagen and elastin in the skin
  • Anti-Inflammatory: Copper is commonly believed to soothe aching joints and muscles, making copper-infused fabrics a common treatment for arthritis

What Is the Benefit of Compression?

These gloves are designed to provide a slight compression to your hands, which is great for staying warm and promotion circulation. As your hands make their natural movements, the compression of these gloves will gently stimulate blood vessels, helping to boost your circulation and keep your hands warm.

Are the Copper Compression Gloves Warm?

These gloves make use of the heat-retaining properties of copper to trap all of the warmth of your hands inside, helping to keep you warm when other gloves fail. This makes them ideal for those suffering from Raynaud's disease, as well as those who simply often find themselves with cold hands.

Which Size Should I Choose?

These gloves are available in four sizes to suit the majority of hands. To choose the correct size for you, measure the width of your palm (excluding your thumb) and choose the closest size based on the sizing guide below.

Please note that these gloves are designed to provide compression, so if you would not like them to be skin-tight, we recommend choosing a larger size to that of your palm measurement.

Glove Size Palm Width Glove Length
Small 7.8cm 21.4cm
Medium 8.2cm 22.2cm
Large 8.6cm 23cm
Extra Large 9cm 23.8cm

Are These Gloves Suitable for Arthritis?

These gloves aren't only useful for the warmth and bacteria reduction they provide, their natural copper properties also work as a homeopathic remedy for arthritis and inflammation. Copper-infused fabrics have been found to have thermal regulating properties, increasing blood flow as they heat up your hands, wrists and fingers. This increased blood flow relieves multiple arthritic symptoms, including joint inflammation, making the gloves helpful for pain related to rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

What Kinds of Bacteria Can Copper Kill?

The antimicrobial properties of copper are well-known in the medical field, and copper-infused fabric have been shown to be effective at killing a wide range of bacteria and viruses. Published medical journals have proven that copper fabrics can kill a range of viruses including Influenza (H1N1 / H9N2) in under 20 minutes, and a 2014 study by Copper Clothing Ltd showed that copper-infused fabric achieved a 99.9% reduction and destruction of a coronavirus within 10 minutes.

Please note that copper fabric has not yet been tested against the current COVID-19 strain of coronavirus.

How Do These Gloves Improve Skin Health?

Studies have shown that copper-infused fabric reduces the tell-tale signs of ageing in the skin by promoting blood flow, collagen and elastin. This helps to keep the skin on your hands fresh and vibrant, and these properties have also been shown to drastically reduce dry and itchy skin.

Are Multipacks Available?

As these copper gloves are excellent for providing antimicrobial protection during your everyday activities, we're offering bulk packs at a reduced price per pair to allow a regular cleaning schedule. The following bulk packs are available:

Do These Gloves Fight Odour?

Yes they do, as copper's remarkable antimicrobial properties make it ideal for use during sport or physical activity because it kills odour-causing bacteria before they form. For this reason, these gloves won't constantly need to be washed, as even after prolonged use the copper ions will keep them smelling fresh.

How Does Copper Kill Bacteria?

The graphic below provides a simplified explanation of how copper ions can kill harmful viruses and bacteria.

Where Else Are Copper Fabrics Used?

Copper-infused fabric, just like the kind found in these gloves, is currently used by NASA and some of the world's leading militaries for its beneficial effects. Providing superior warmth, odour control and antimicrobial properties while staying lightweight, comfortable and breathable, you can be sure that if these fabrics are good enough for them, they'll be good enough for you.

Do These Gloves Work With a Smartphone?

While these gloves will allow finger taps on a touchscreen to be read by most devices, their grippy material makes it difficult to swipe across a phone screen while wearing them. Also touchscreen performance may diminish after repeated washes of the gloves. This means we would recommend taking the gloves off for optimal use of a touchscreen device.

This makes them possibly the best natural, drug free and non-invasive solution to these problems on the market. Learn more about Copper Clothing and its benefits in our blog.

Slim fitting gloves with a good non slip grip

Presumably the copper does work but I can't prove that. The gloves fit closely but I didn't buy them extra tight. They fit under my fleece gloves to make an extra layer. The grip ridges across the palm and fingers are good for holding phone but you can't use touch screen with these gloves. There is a good band around the wrist so you have a snug fit there and if you like your wrists to be covered these would do the job (the sliver Raynaud's gloves don't have that. If you want to wear copper gloves while working in the office, I find I can use a keyboard quite easily with these gloves on. They actually look quite smart too. I don't think they give me the same sensation of warmness that the Raynaud's silver gloves provide me.
