This general wear support is both subtle and comfortable, making it ideal for any occasion. Like all the firm Comfizz supports, the 10cm Ostomy Support Belt has particular utility during activities which put your stoma or ostomy device at risk, such as during exercise.
What If I Want Additional Protection?
There is an attachable stoma protector (sold separately) which can be combined with this support to achieve the best protection for your stoma against excessive pressure and impact. The Optional Stoma Protector is ideal if you want to be more physcially active, particularly if that activity might involve unexpected contact.
How Do I Wear the Comfizz 10cm Ostomy Support Belt?
Wearing this support belt is intuitive. It comes with a simple Velcro fastening system to help you achieve a perfect fit. Simply follow these steps:
- Wrap the support belt around your waist, positioning your stoma at the aperture
- Use the Velcro fastening strap to secure a snug fit
- Attach your ostomy device to your stoma through the aperture
- Hold your ostomy device securely using the fastening strap
Which Size of Ostomy Support Belt is Right for Me?
This Support Belt Comes in a broad range of sizes. We recommend you consult the table below to find the ideal size for you (if you have a hernia, lie on your back for five minutes before measuring):

Which Aperture Should I be Using?
To find out the aperture of your ostomy device simply measure the width of the aperture as shown in the diagram bellow. This support is available with apertures of 60mm, 72mm. Pick the next option up from your aperture from the drop-down menu above (eg for a 65mm aperture select 72mm).
What If I Need a Larger Aperture?
The Comfizz 15cm Ostomy Support Belt is larger. It can accommodate apertures of up to 85mm.
Can This Ostomy Support Belt Accommodate a Prolapsed Stoma?
Yes, this support belt has been specifically designed to accommodate a prolapsed stoma. It features a stretch prolapse cover explicitly for this purpose.
Is the Ostomy Support Belt Discreet?
Since this support belt is designed to be worn under any clothing it is a fairly subtle device. At the same time, it works to actively flatten out any lumps and bumps, smoothing your profile to make your stoma and ostomy device more discreet overall.
What Level of Support Does the Comfizz 10cm Ostomy Support Belt Offer?
This support belt offers Comfizz's highest level of support: level 3. Its firm abdominal support ensures stomas, ostomy devices and peristomal hernias (hernias that can emerge at the skin around the stoma) are protected, and secures ostomy devices to prevent discomfort or leakage.

Every measure has been taken to ensure this support belt remains comfortable while it is securing your stoma and ostomy device. Stabilising ribs in the body ensure creases and wrinkles do not emerge, while a Velcro fastening system allows you to customise the fit to your body.
How Will This Support Belt Help With My Ostomy Pouch?
Ostomy devices are secured firmly by the Comfizz 10cm Ostomy Support Belt. This improves adherence and can prevent leakage, particularly during physical activity. At the same time, the belt supports the peristomal skin (the skin around your stoma) to ensure hernias do not emerge.
Will the Comfizz 10cm Ostomy Support Belt Restrict the Flow of my Stoma?
No, the Ostomy Support Belt offers comprehensive support without putting unnecessary pressure on your stoma. It should flow as normal while you are wearing this device.
Is the Comfizz Ostomy Support Belt Appropriate for Sports?
Yes, the superior protection of the 10cm Ostomy Support Belt allows you to exercise or play sport with reduced risk to stoma or ostomy device. In the case of ostomy devices this support will keep them stable, and help to prevent adherence problems and leakage. If you are looking for protection from impact or pressure, for instance if you are playing a sport that involves contact, there is an Optional Stoma Protector which can be added to this support.
Is the Comfizz 10cm Ostomy Support Belt Machine Washable?
This support is machine washable at 30ºC, but hand washing is preferable. It must not be dry cleaned, ironed, tumble dried or bleached.
What Kind of Clothing Can I Wear This Support Belt With?
The Comfizz 10cm Ostomy Support Belt is designed to sit underneath your clothes independently without restricting your movement. As such, it is appropriate for almost any clothing.
