The LimbO Child Half Leg Plaster Cast and Dressing Protector features an innovative durable waterproof protector, designed to keep children's plaster or dressing dry whilst bathing and showering.

The LimbO Child Half Leg Plaster Cast and Dressing Protector is a self-sealing, self-supporting garment which prevents the penetration of water to plaster casts and wound dressings on legs during bathing. It is simple, comfortable and non constricting to use, and will last through the average user’s duration of treatment. The Limbo provides a significant quality of life improvement for the user. It is a non-sterile product and is primarily intended for use in a bath or shower.

Guidelines of the LimbO Child Half Leg Cast and Dressing Protector

Please check that the rubber seal remains undamaged before using and carefully follow the fitting instructions for your LimbO to ensure that it is watertight. You are then free to enjoy your shower or bath safe in the knowledge that your wound or plaster will remain dry.

Please note the LimbO should not be worn for more than 20 to 30 minutes at a time, as the trapped air gets quite warm which can cause condensation inside the protector.

After use, follow the simple guidelines in the fitting instructions to ensure that your LimbO will last through the average user’s duration of treatment.

Can This Protector Be Used While Swimming?

It is possible to use this cast protector while swimming, however the same guidelines apply when in a pool as when in the shower. It is important not to use the protector for more than half an hour at the time, because warm air around the leg might break the watertight seal.

Sizing of the LimbO Child Half Leg Cast and Dressing Protector

There are 4 versions available for the Half Leg Protector depending on your child's age. Please select the relevant age from the drop down menu above. The Limbo Child Half Leg Cast and Dressing Protector will seal around the leg at approximately 8cm above the knee.
