Single Armchair Finger Splint

Designed to assist with PIP (proximal interphalangeal) and DIP (distal interphalangeal) joint flexion contractures, the Single Armchair Finger Splint is a dynamic splint to help with injury recovery and arthritic condition management. The coil design provides excellent support and helps to keep your finger in a fixed position that assists recuperation and alleviates pain.

Sizing of the Single Armchair Finger Splint

To find out which size of splint you need, please measure the circumference of your finger at the PIP joint (the first joint of your finger after the knuckle) and use the sizing table. The correct joint can be seen in the image below. 

Please note that if your measurement falls on a sizing boundary, we would advise choosing the larger size for greater comfort.

Indications of the Single Armchair Finger Splint

This finger splint is suitable for the following conditions:

• PIP joint flexion contractures
• DIP joint flexion contractures
• Boutonniere deformity
• Soft tissue injury affecting the PIP joint

How Does the Single Armchair Finger Support Work?

By maintaining assisted extension at the PIP joint the Single Armchair Finger Splint allows active flexion and can be used for soft tissue injury affecting the PIP joint with a possible flexion deformity. The coil spring used in the Single Armchair Finger Splint provides resistance for extra support and faster recovery.
