Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar

About the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar

The Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar is an anatomically correct and complete and fully flexible model skeleton. The flexible rubber attachments on the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar allow the joints to be articulated in a smooth, lifelike manner unlike other less mobile model skeletons which are fitted with metal joints. The Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar contains around 200 bones and correspond perfectly with the bones in the human skeleton and are also of a similar weight to real human bones for an extra lifelike feel. The limbs of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar can be easily and quickly detached and re-attached using the handy fasteners attached to the skeleton. The teeth of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar are also removable as they are manufactured separately and then inserted into the skull.

The Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar is made from a durable, unbreakable plastic and is mounted on a stable, robust stand to facilitate ease-of-use and easy storage. The 5-spoke roller stand of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar allows for smooth, easy movement of the skeleton whilst upright. A suspension ring is also supplied with the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar to allow for it to be hung on a special stand or even from the ceiling.

Special Features of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar

The skull of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar is created in 3 parts: a base, lower jaw, and skullcap. The skullcap is fixed to the base using metal pins which are endowed with magnets in order to hold the skullcap firmly in place and eliminate any gaps between the pieces. This magnet and pin system eliminates the need for the hooks that are used on other models and which are prone to damage. The skull design has been digitalised in order for the measures to be adjusted to the European standard size for additional realism. All of the important structures of the skull, including fissures, foramina, and processes are included in the skull of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar.

The joint surfaces of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar slide over each other, can be articulated in all natural planes of motion, and do not protrude as in other model skeletons for extra realism and ease-of-use during medical demonstrations. The spine of the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar also shows the spinal nerves, vertebral artery, and a dorsolateral disc prolapse and the shoulder blades are mounted in such a way that they are able to move at the same time as the arm of the model for extra-realistic joint movements.

With all of these extra features, the Didactic Model Skeleton Oscar is a must have for all medical training institutions.
