I purchased this item after self-diagnosis of Achilles heel pain which is an age old issue. After home exercise and not really wearing any shoes (due to being at home during this pandemic) my ankle was puffy, achy and with a sensitive painful area at the back of the ankle. This support with the gel inserts has been very comfortable, easy to hand wash and can even be worn with shoes (under socks). I still have the injury but the pain has reduced greatly since wearing this sleeve. I should have got two and rotated them. I would purchase again.
