Wheelchair RampKit Up-and-Over Door Threshold Ramp Kit

While a single ramp may be sufficient for accessing a low or flat door threshold, a more detailed ramp kit will be required for raised door thresholds and doors that are accessed by multiple steps. The Wheelchair RampKit Up-and-Over Door Threshold Ramp Kit has been designed to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility by combining an Aerolight-Xtra Premium Folding Suitcase Wheelchair Ramp with a Doorline-Multi PVC Door Threshold Wheelchair Ramp.

The Up-and-Over Door Threshold Ramp Kit enables all of the benefits of the Aerolight-Xtra and Doorline-Multi ramps to be combined into one easy-to-use kit. It remains portable and lightweight, ensuring that easier access over virtually any door threshold can be provided as and when it is required.

Inexpensive to Use

Installing a permanent ramp in place of steps and replacing a door with a flatter threshold would be costly and messy, and would also be likely to cause disruptions. The RampKit combats this by providing a cost-effective portable ramp that can be used over steps and thresholds in virtually any doorway.

It can be used regularly in one location, such as leading to the entrance of a residential home or care environment where mobility aids may often be used. The Aerolight-Xtra ramp can also be folded and placed alongside the handled Doorline-Multi ramp in a vehicle for easy transportation to a new location. This means that it can be deployed whenever required, eliminating the risk of reduced accessibility in public areas.

Suitable for Most Individuals and Businesses

The combined Aerolight-Xtra ramp and Doorline-Multi ramp can accommodate virtually any type of wheelchair, rollator, or scooter, including two- to six-wheel models. This versatility will be particularly useful for care environments, local businesses, and residential homes where any number of individuals with reduced mobility may be required to access the area while relying on a wheeled mobility aid.

Improved Safety

To be as safe as possible, the Aerolight-Xtra Wheelchair Ramp in the RampKit includes a contrasting colour edge strip and a reflective lip feature to improve safety in situations with lower light. This will be particularly important for when individuals with already-reduced mobility are using the ramp, helping to guide them in the right direction while reducing the risk of tripping over the edges of the ramp.

The Doorline-Multi ramp is equally as safe, with a unique lip design with rubber anti-slip properties. This will prevent the ramp from slipping while in use, as well as protecting against scrapes and marks. The anodised finish ensures the ramp itself will also stay functional and visually appealing for a long time.

To accommodate as wide a range of situations as possible, the Wheelchair RampKit Up-and-Over Door Threshold Ramp Kit has been designed in a range of sizes, each one with a maximum recommended internal threshold height of 10cm (4 inches). The following options are available:

Happy with the two ramps, which meet our needs. Much less happy with the delivery process. I can't believe that you don't give any notification of this. When I phoned up to find out when they were going to be delivered, I was told sometime that day.

I had to hurriedly rearrange my plans for the day and then waited in until the ramps arrived at 17:50, I can't think of any other seller that I order from online that doesn't notify when items have been dispatched and give some way of tracking delivery times, especially for very large expensive items.

The delivery man leaned the ramps against the wall beside the front door and it wasn't until he'd shot off that I saw the bright yellow stickers telling me not to sign for the goods until I'd checked them. Fortunately they are both OK.
