It provides effective pressure redistribution to prevent pressure ulcers, and is designed to improve the child's comfort when lying down on an existing mattress of a standard-sized paediatric bed.

The Paediatric Mattress overlay is ideal for use in both community care and acute care settings. It is also suitable for users with pressure-related tissue damage, though clinical supervision is recommended for more severe damage. The overlay is suitable for individuals weighing up to 139kg.

How Do I Inflate the Paediatric Mattress Overlay?

A pump is provided with the Paediatric Mattress Overlay, and this pushes easily onto the inflation valve. Inflate the device until air is heard escaping from the pump valve, and then cover the valve on the device using the solid end of the figure-of-eight valve cap. How Quickly Does the Mattress Overlay Inflate?

There is no evidence to suggest that the same level of support is provided if Repose products are used after a puncture is repaired.
