Features of the Basic Patient Lifting Sling

  • Seven different sizes to get an individualised fit
  • Divided leg supports for comfort
  • Easy for the caregiver to apply and remove
  • High back; the user is supported from the tailbone up to the shoulders
  • Standard model, suits most users with good head stability
  • Keeps the patient in an upright seated posture
  • Pocket at lower edge for easier application

Full Sense of Security

The Basic Lifting Sling is a functional and comfortable lifting tool designed for common seated transfers from bed to wheelchair, chair to wheelchair, or wheelchair to toilet. The design makes it quick and easy for the carer to apply in preparation for a transfer or a lift.

The sling features separated leg sections, and has a high back, supporting the patient from the legs and tailbone, up to the top of their shoulder, giving them all full sense of security as they are being lifted. The durable polyester material is low-friction for easy manouevring and withstands high laundry temperatures.

Sizing of the Basic Patient Sling

The Basic Sling is available in a choice of seven different sizes, and is adaptable to be used in both 2 and 4-point suspension. It is essential to ensure that the width of the Sling Bar is appropriate for the sling size and the patient’s status and capacity.
