I was looking forward to these braces so I could do away with the neoprene braces I have been using (and constantly replacing as the velcro died off) for years; the neoprene makes me overheat! These new braces arrived and I tried them on. I walked around the block... unfortunately the central hole, for the patella, on the braces is too small to go around my patella and was too large to fit over my patella properly. Consequently with every step I took, the edge of the central hole would catch the edge of my patella and pull up on my knee cap; quite painful it was. However Health and Care promptly gave me a return authorisation code and I am currently awaiting the refund to clear from my bank.

I have been told I need a partial knee replacement due to osteoarthritis. I looked at off loader knee braces which are quite costly and bulky. Got this to try as it is reasonably priced, not bulky, and looked a good design. It is!
I have just skied in it for a week…GREAT!

I have mild to moderate osteoarthritis in my knees. I like to run 5km daily. Unfortunately, I can only manage a gentle jog, as anything faster causes pain in my knees during the exercise and afterwards. I have found that the Donjoy knee braces allow me to run without any restrictions. I can now run hard, without any pain in my knees. I may get a slight twinge when I run downhill, but that is all. I can also do weighted lunges now, whereas before they caused pain in my knees.

The braces have the bonus of being very easy to fit and remove. They can even be worn over joggers, for convenience's sake and also to avoid them becoming soiled by sweat from contact with skin. Therefore, hygiene is not an issue.

Note that I do bind the braces quite tightly ie with my condition, and the fact that I push myself during my exercise, the tension does need to be reasonably high if they are to be fully effective. That level of tension does take getting used to, but for me it has been worth it.

In summary, I would recommend this product for those with mild/moderate osteoarthritis who wish to exercise.

I have osteoarthritis in both knees and recently fractured my femur from the knee upwards. After wearing a large jointed brace for several months, I needed something lighter but most irritated my skin, leaving me with blisters. This one was comfortable from the start and gives subtle but firm support. I am getting one for my other knee as that is now in need of support when I go walking. Highly recommended!

I had major knee pain working in my bar job and tried this support on doc's recommendation - it worked straight away and completely eliminated the pain.

No knee problems since wearing this, my knee feels completely supported and held by the brace when running. I just hope the velcro keeps sticking for longer than my cheaper knee brace.

The knee brace conforms well to leg shape and is easy to adjust . Cooler than a neoprene wrap version. The only niggle is that the sleeve provided is M not M/L it fits but is a bit tight. On the whole A good bit of kit.

Wished I had thought of this years ago after my knee op not knee replacement . Gives great support, so comfortable and only needs to worn for a short time to feel that my knee function is regenerated.
