The Donjoy Armor with Fourcepoint Knee Brace uses Fource Point Technology. Fourcepoint Technology was developed to further protect the ACL and enhance the Four Points of Leverage knee brace design. The patented Fource Point hinges of the Donjoy Armor with Fourcepoint Knee Brace are designed to react during leg extension and offer an increasing resistance in the last 35 degrees of extension, in order to reduce extension shock and increase posterior tibial loads. My first ski after rupturing my left ACL last year. Using the Donjoy brace gave me really good support and was comfortable to wear. Money well spent... and hopefully lots more skiing to come.

Skiing with no ACL

I am a 48 year old female and completely ruptured my ACL skiing Easter 2010. I would probably say I am an advanced, but not a daredevil who prefers to stick to the piste. After rehab my leg was fairly stable so I concentrated on building up compensatory muscles and decided not to go for an ACL reconstruction. My one concern however was whether I would be able to ski. My physio recommended this knee brace and I am pleased to report that I was able to ski comfortably all week. I did stay within my comfort zone and didn't push myself too hard, but did ski at speed and was able to a good days skiing. In fact my knee probably felt better at the end of the week than it did before the torn ACL.

So all in all can't recommend it enough. I certainly wouldn't have been skiing this year if I had had the reconstruction.
