VMO Stabilisation

The VMO, or Vastus Medialis Oblique, is part of one of the four quadricep muscles, and is the primary muscle used to stabilise your patella (kneecap) during the extension and retraction that take place in exercises involving the leg. Unlike other knee supports, RockTape KneeCaps Knee Protection Sleeves are 'extra tall', so they compress the VMO at its insertion point above the patella, to ensure proper stability and tracking. 5mm vs. 7mm Thickness

KneeCaps Knee Protection Sleeves are available in two different thicknesses: 5mm and 7mm. The crucial factor to consider when choosing your thickness is the level of support you require. If you need a knee support with more compression, warmth and stiffness, go for the 7mm; if you're looking for a more flexible, lightweight knee support, the 5mm version will probably suit you better.
