As the number of people suffering from dementia continues to increase, so the incidences of bed rail entrapment and bed falls increase. The CE Marked Orthodocs Cocoon is an all round bumper protection system that is specifically designed to prevent bed falls (even in the profiled position) and eliminate the risk of entrapment. A range of standard sizes (see below) fit most types of beds, mattresses (including air flow), wood and metal cot sides. Covering: 50 Newton tear strength; 10% vapour permeable (to BS 3424); washable at 75 ºC. Remove foam filling and place in standard washing machine; tumble dry on a low setting; BS 7175 Ignition sources 5; anti-fungal and anti-bacterial coating. The Orthodocs Cocoon also incorporates a full evacuation system for quick patient evacuation in case of smoke or fire hazard. The Orthodocs Cocoon is ideal for use in care homes and nursing homes.
