Sizing of the Blood Pressure Monitor's Cuff

The supplied cuff has been designed to fit most people's upper arms. To find out if the Blood Pressure Monitor's cuff will fit you, measure the circumference of your upper arm. The cuff can be worn on those with an upper arm circumference of between 22 - 30cm.

What Should You Remember When Taking Your Blood Pressure?

1. Always measure your blood pressure at the same time of day to ensure values are comparable. If possible, this should be done in either the morning or in the evening.
2. Fit the cuff around your bare left upper arm. The lower edge should be 2cm to 3cm above bend of the elbow and the artery.
3. Place free end of cuff snugly around arm and fix it with the Velcro fastener. You should be able to fit just two fingers beneath the cuff.
4. Insert the cuff tubing into the socket for the cuff attachment.
5. Relax for approximately five minutes before each measurement.
6. The readings you take may only be used for information purposes; they are not a substitute for a medical examination.
