Patients

Aged between 4 and 80 diagnosed with a range of respiratory problems such as COPD, asthma and rhinitis.

23 patients received the salt inhaler and 26 received a placebo inhaler. Patients were advised to use the inhaler three times a day for 15 minutes each time over the course of 3 weeks.

Measurements

Determination on FEV1 prior to use of the salt inhaler and following a period of use of about 3 weeks by means of LUNGTEST LT100 spirometer.

Inquiry of experiences gained by the users by means of questionnaires.
