This alarm detects a person leaving their bed or chair. The system comprises of:
For bed occupancy alerts, the sensor is placed under the patient's mattress or bed sheet. For chair occupancy alerts, the sensor is placed under the chair cushion or seat cover. When the patient sits or lays down, the monitor transmitter acknowledges detection with two beeps. When the patient rises, an alarm signal is transmitted to the radio pager, which can be up to 150 metres away.
The transmitter can contact the pager up to a range of 150 metres allowing great flexibility for the carer.
Both systems are incredibly simple to use and can be set up in a matter of minutes.
The new extended alarm delay option can be selected to allow the user 15 minutes to go to the bathroom or to get a drink before the alarm signal is transmitted to the alarm pager.
Sensors are manufactured in high quality polyvinyl and are fitted with a 2 metre lead for connection to the monitor transmitter. Normal strength disinfectants can be used to sterilise any soiled sensors. Sensors are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase.
