Product Details

Aircast Leg Brace

Suffering from a fracture to the lower leg can be painful, and walking on the injury tends to exacerbate your discomfort. The Aircast Leg Brace is designed for the functional management of stress fractures and stable fractures of the lower leg. The support is easy to fit into most shoes, which allows the affected foot to bear weight in safety and with an additional layer of protection.

The leg brace comes with a sock as standard to protect your leg and prevent scratches to the skin. The support can also be ordered alone or with an optional anterior panel to provide additional tibial protection. This helps prevent trauma to the area while you're getting back on your feet.

A Leg to stand on ...
Rating:
17 August 2010  |

Bought this to help in my recovery from a Tibial Stress Fracture. It helped me a lot in the early stages when walking without the brace was quite painful. Using it was easy and it relieved the stresses on my Tibia to the extent that I could walk (fairly fast) without pain while using it. Was hoping to be able to use it while doing some light running (somewhat optimistic) but it was a little too cumbersome for that and anyways it doesn't claim to be of use during exercise, though with some slight modifications I reckon it could be of great use in that department too. Overall a good product that can help greatly in the acute stages of such an injury. Would be great to see an 'exercise' version of this.
